The Wonder Festival 2010 Winter exclusives that I had pre-ordered months ago finally arrived in the mail today.

They were as follows:

• Nendoroid Mio & Ritsu Live Stage Version [K-ON!]
• Nendoroid Snow Miku
• Figma Hirasawa Ui School Uniform Version [K-ON!]
• Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~ by GSC

It has been quite the wait with the multiple delays on Saber Lily. The Mio & Ritsu box is actually really large and heavy for two nendoroids, mostly due to the curtain stage that it comes with (you can see it behind the nendos).

So Alter’s Saber Lily finally arrived after being on preorder for more months than I care to count.

I also picked up Alter’s Saber Black dress Ver. and Saber Mokyu Mokyu Ver. since they were released before I started my collection.

Fanime at the end of this month equals more potential purchases as well.

When I received my Yurippe Petite Nendoroid, I was naturally quite surprised at her miniature size considering that she was my first acquisition in Good Smile Company’s Petite Nendoroids line.

So how does a Petite Nendo size up to a regular Nendo? I would say that it’s about half the size of one. Now GSC, please don’t go any smaller.

I finally got around to acquiring the Saber Lily nendoroid, which completes the trio set of GSC’s Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ and Max Factory’s Saber Lily figma.

Unfortunately, the box was somewhat dented on the front, bottom, and back. A pro tip to sellers, don’t list your product as new and then make no mention of considerable imperfections. That’s not how business should be done, and we don’t tolerate that over at Figure Haven. If it’s not in perfect condition, then make a note of it.

Just a quick notice. For those that didn’t preorder Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~ and are still interested, I saw this at our wholesaler’s website.

Good Smile Company will release this product in North America at this year’s Anime Expo 2010 and San Diego Comic Con 2010. There will be a limited supply on hand and customers will be limited to 1 each.

A bit pricey though at a suggested retail price of $149.99.

Don’t be like me and almost forget to do so if you were planning on making a purchase. The preorder deadline will be over already in a few days.

If you’re not living in Japan, then chances are high that you will have to order through a proxy service. I used Celga this time around, which is the service that my brother uses. Hopefully the entire transaction will be executed smoothly.

Too bad these orders don’t arrive until June though. I guess it’ll be a pleasant surprise when that time comes around.

This collection has what I believe to be every single Saber figure/figma/nendo/dollfie that is currently out.

Very impressive, if not extreme. My own collection of Saber figures is only a fraction of this; mainly consisting of Good Smile Company, Max Factory, Alter, and Kotobukiya figures. Seems like this collector will have to find space to squeeze in a few more Saber figures with Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~ and Saber ~The Promised Sword of Victory Excalibur~ coming out later this year.

Due to the nature of this blog (the name), I felt obligated to post about this even though it has already widely circulated the blogosphere. A shout-out to the fellow bloggers I saw who posted about this: GNdynames, Shazzsteel, and zenical.

A Wonder Festival 2010 exclusive: Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~

As you might expect from the resemblance to Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~, this figure is also made by Good Smile Company. She is of 1/7 scale and will be priced at a modest 9,000 yen.

You can either buy her at Wonder Festival 2010 on February 7th, or order her online at the Goodsmile Online Shop between February 8th and 13th. For people in the United States like me, it seems like we’re going to have to use a proxy service if we want to order from the online shop.

GSC sure knows how to make me spend money because there’s no way I’m passing this one up. Now I need to find a proxy service that’s able to order this for me.

I thought the figma version would be a bit larger. Now I’m slightly disappointed.

Seems like a lot of figmas are around the same size though. This was my first one so I was caught off-guard.

Considering that there are currently four figmas out just of Saber, let’s take a look at them.

First up is the Saber Lily figma shown above that came limited with the PS2 fighting game Fate/Unlimited Codes. This takes the crown as my current favorite Saber figma.

Next is a Saber figma in an alternate new costume that is coming limited next year with the release of a PSP rpg titled Fate/EXTRA.

I would have liked it better if the white portion of the dress wasn’t semi-transparent. Still an excellent figma as expected from Max Factory.

Then there is always the normal Saber figma.

I’m still waiting on this figma to arrive from pre-order. The awesome photo was found on figma blog.

Making use of that extra sword from the GSC Saber Lily figure – great idea! (or I could be wrong and that’s a different sword)

The final Saber figma is one of her wearing the trademark armor.

Dual wielding ftw!

The limited edition ones are quite expensive to obtain, but I’m going to have to get them somehow. >_>
