Good Smile Company has showcased two new Fate/stay night figures at the Tokyo Anime Fair this year.

They are 1/7 scale PVC figures of Tohsaka Rin and Saber Alter.

You can compare the figure to the illustration of her from the Unlimited Blade Works movie.

An excellent rendition of Tohsaka Rin by Good Smile Company with her flowing hair very well done. I’m highly anticipating how the painted version turns out.

As for Saber Alter, she’ll go nicely as a set with the previous GSC Saber figures since this one is also 1/7 scale.

Saber Alter has vastly different coloring from the normal Armored Saber and Saber Lily, so this trio should make an excellent set for displaying purposes. However, it’s hard to judge this figure unpainted since it bears a somewhat close resemblance to the previous 1/7 scale Sabers, so we’ll have to see how she turns out.

I thought the figma version would be a bit larger. Now I’m slightly disappointed.

Seems like a lot of figmas are around the same size though. This was my first one so I was caught off-guard.

My pre-order for Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ from Hobby Search has arrived this morning.

The packaging is very well done with the figure solidly secured inside, and it even has bubble wrap padding the back of the dress. The exterior of the box has a foil surface that makes it reflective, creating an effect suitable for Saber.

Best figure hands down out of all those that are currently released, although I am biased in many ways. The quality and level of work required to make this figure is simply astounding. Even the base it stands on is epic. Good Smile Company has certainly made it worth waiting through all those delays on this figure.

Orchid Seed is due to release a 1/7 scale PVC figure of an elf mage from the popular MMO Lineage II.

I have it on pre-order for Figure Haven, and it should be coming in-stock at the end of January along with many other figures. Seems like a lot of pre-orders are being released during that time.

Not an elf mage, but close enough. I actually played an elf wizard way back when I tried out L2, but it got to be too much of a grindfest.

Anyways, an awesome figure that stays true to the ingame depiction of the character. I don’t really like a lot of the Orchid Seed figures, but this one seems like a good choice to purchase.

I could also use more 1/7 scale figures since I mostly have the standard 1/8 scale ones.
