February Loots Part 1

I don’t really do loot posts that often, but maybe I’ll get in the habit now. It’s titled Part 1 since I don’t know how much stuff I’ll be getting in the future. I’m somewhat impulsive when it comes to purchases.

Got White Knight Chronicles International Edition and Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (Blu-ray) in the mail today from Amazon. It has been a while since I’ve played a PS3 RPG.

Time to try it out!

Fate/stay night TV Remake

fate_stay_night_remake

As I was looking around on AniDB while writing my Winter season preview post, I saw that there will be a Fate/stay night TV remake consisting of 2 OVAs being released around the same time that the movie airs (1/23/2010).

There will be some new animation that includes a newly animated opening and also new ending theme songs.

I personally have not seen the Fate/stay night TV series in ages, so this will be a nice refresher.

Ghost in the Shell Live Action Movie

laughing_man

I guess I’m behind in my news because this is the first related news I heard of DreamWorks adapting Ghost in the Shell into a 3D live action movie.

At a glance, some of the people involved in the project are experienced in adaptations (e.g. Spiderman, Hulk), which is somewhat reassuring. Hopefully they won’t butcher one of my all time favorite series. If they get it right and do a great job on it, the movie is going to be amazing.

Fate/stay night Movie Trailer

rin_tohsaka

A trailer for the upcoming Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works movie was shown at Comiket 76!

The quality isn’t too good due to the surrounding noise, but at least we get to see it:

The animation quality appears to be superior to the Fate/stay night anime from 2006, as would be expected after a few years and considering that this is a theatrical release. (The blood gushing out of Shirou’s arm -- very nicely done! ^^).

The action scenes look breathtakingly intense as well, with appearances by a considerable number of the Fate/stay night cast. Even with the surrounding noise, one can hear the epic/heroic music being played in the trailer.

Seeing it just makes me anticipate the movie all the more! >_<

Fate/stay night Movie: Unlimited Blade Works

For those who haven’t checked yet, the Fate/stay night Movie website has been updated. It now shows a release date of 1/23/2010, so still half a year to go before it’s in theaters in Japan. Though highly unlikely, it would be awesome to see it in theaters here in the United States. =/

Looking through the menu on the site, some related merchandise is also shown. There appears to be a poster of Saber Lily in casual clothes (do want!) along with two different t-shirts. One is lime green with a chibi Saber (?) outlined in white and the other is white with Saber outlined in white on a black background. I’m assuming these products will be difficult to acquire for us foreigners.

I wonder if this Saber related merchandise has anything to do with the film?

Fate/stay night Movie

saber

Fate/stay night movie is in the making due to the release of an official site for it.

I don’t know what to say, I’m beyond overjoyed considering Fate/stay night is my favorite series/universe. There’s basically no information on the movie at the moment, but hopefully we’ll get to see all the characters in the movie (especially Saber).

A dream come true.

Eden of the East is Over

Surprise

Aww, over so soon? The next episode is the final one and I haven’t watched it yet, but I have high hopes for it due to the plot progression in the previous episode. Eden was rather short; I was hoping they would make it a 26 episode series. The good news is there are the 2 movies that will probably wrap up the story. The bad news is that they are opening in Japan this November and in January 2010, so it’s a bit of a wait. Cheers to what I thought was the best anime series this season, Noblesse Oblige.
