Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Final Impressions

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (also known as Haganai) was one of the three series I watched every week without exception.

The characters are the strong point of the show. From the clashes between Yozora and Sena to Rika’s outbursts, all their personalities mesh well together. They always talk and act as if none of them have any friends, but I can’t wait to see when they admit that they are already good friends with one another.

The ending was somewhat anti-climatic. When Kodaka finally realizes who Yozora is, she wants him to treat her as if they did not previously know each other. A bit disappointing considering the substantial amount of screen time spent exploring their past history together. I guess I was just expecting something more to end the season on.

Hopefully there will be multiple seasons since I can easily see it going on for a while, and I want to see who wins between Yozora and Sena.

Rating: Great

I feel the same way, at the end of the season I don’t feel the huge explosion of excitement or (gasp).
I really hope there is more seasons after this one, maybe a little more relationship development or some crazy adventures.
I really love when Sena and the others play games, it is like putting ourselves to the the game characters literally, I wonder we have that kind of technology to create such an illusion.

Everyone likes Kodaka, except it’s the usual situation where he doesn’t pick up on it. Hopefully more romantic development next season.

I believe there are headsets that can act as a screen (which you can then game on), except the cost is still too high for it to be mass produced and become mainstream.

ill agree with this review that ending was a bit weak and anticlimactic. personally i love this anime to no end i waited by the min for every new episode. i enjoyed this more than anything else this season and that’s coming from a huge fate/stay fan who finds fate/zero amazing. The way they keept up the “i dont have any friends mod even though they all met up and hung out almost every day made the humor that much better. A great example of this is the new cell phone episode it was amazing. i cant wait for another season if their is going to be one im all over it.

Haganai was the most enjoyable this season in the comedy genre. 🙂

The cell phone episode was hilarious. I loved seeing all their overly dramatic reactions.
