Fall 2011 Anime Season – A Concise Preview

Here’s a last minute preview of the Fall 2011 Anime Season.
- Fate/Zero – My most anticipated series of this upcoming season. The prequel to Fate/stay night is a must watch.
- C3 – Well, I’m curious as to what other surprises the black cube holds.
- Un-Go – It’s hard to go wrong with mystery. Hopefully the cases they solve will be complex ones.
- Guilty Crown – A science fiction series with Production I.G. doing the animation work. One of my favorite combos.
- Hunter x Hunter (2011) – The original Hunter x Hunter was one of the shows that got me into watching anime. I don’t believe it needed a remake, but I hope it turns out good.
- Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon – Wars, parallel worlds, and history reproduction. Looks interesting.
- Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! – Visual novel adaptation where all the girls are superb fighters…?
- Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle – Puzzle battles! Since the focus is on puzzles, I expect to see some challenging ones.
- Kimi to Boku. – A slice of life series revolving around a group of male friends. It’s usually a female group of friends, so this switch should be interesting.
- Chihayafuru – Watching this should teach me more about karuta.
- Maken-ki! – Ehh, looks like a standard fare high school harem series.
- Mashiro-iro Symphony: The Color of Lovers – Another visual novel adaptation. Looks pretty standard.
- Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – A club for people with hardly any friends…? Let’s hope they get the comedy part right.
- Persona 4 The Animation – I never got around to playing the game (still sealed in shrink wrap), so at least I’ll see the story this way.
- Shakugan no Shana III (Final) – I still haven’t watched the second season, so I guess I’ll have to marathon it soon before this airs. I wonder how the story is going to end.
- Ben-Tou – Wow, I didn’t know you could make an anime about battling for on sale bento boxes…
- Mirai Nikki (2011) – Interesting premise. I remember reading a few chapters of the manga, which was pretty good.
- Chibi Devi! – This doesn’t look like something that I would like.
- Kidou Senshi Gundam AGE – Instead of making a new Gundam series with younger characters, why couldn’t they make it with older ones?
Yes! I can’t wait to start watching Fate/Zero, especially with what looks to be superb production quality.
Guilty Crown, Un-Go, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, and Mirai Nikki are the most interesting picks for me at the moment.
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle, C3, Kimi to Boku, and Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai have potential, but I’ll have to reserve my judgement for when I actually watch a few episodes.
There’s also the K-ON! Movie where they all go to London, and the Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito OVA coming out.

I haven’t gotten to look at the pages for everything else yet, but Ben-Tou makes me laugh. I’m not sure how they can squeeze an entire series out of that, though. I would say that there is an anime/manga for just about everything, but the other day I was looking for a sports anime featuring cricket and found nothing. Ah well, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.

Haha, yeah. I’m sure there will be an anime/manga for cricket soon enough. They already seem to be running out of new ideas for stuff.

Maken-Ki half reminds me of Maburaho. Remember, the key word is half^^

Oh you’re right, they have similar premises. I’m not sure if I even saw Maburaho though.
