Kuragehime – Final Impressions

What? Only 11 episodes?

Kuragehime wraps up with Tsukimi and Kuranosuke debuting their own fashion brand of Jellyfish dresses. I was hoping more for an ending that involved their relationships, but with the series ending at an odd number of 11 episodes I can understand why it wasn’t included.

All the characters continued to be entertaining to watch, and it was interesting seeing all the different outfits Kuranosuke was cross-dressing in. I’m not satisfied with the ending though, so I need to see a second season happen.

Rating: Very Good

  1. Just too many loose ends that never got wrapped up. Still, it had a good grasp of comedy and the romance was pretty endearing. I’d say it’s very good, but misses out on the opportunity to become a classic through that ending.

I’m assuming their budget didn’t allow for a longer and more complete season. If they don’t make a sequel to wrap things up, I’ll be sad.

I really want to watch this just for the crossdressing stuff, but too bad I can’t seem to find the time. The outfits look really nice.

As it is right now, it feels incomplete. If you have time in the future it’ll be even better to watch it together with its second season (hopefully).
