Psychic Detective Yakumo – First Impressions

When I first heard that Psychic Detective Yakumo was airing this season, I knew it would turn out well since I happened to read the manga last year.

The story revolves around Yakumo, a college student whose left eye lets him see spirits. He assists others in solving cases having to do with ghosts and the supernatural. It’s refreshing to have the male lead be the quiet and dependable type instead of your usual loud-mouth.

Naturally, I find most mystery series to be intriguing and this one is no exception. The first case already involves “suicides”, disappearances, and possessed students. What more could you ask for?

Rating: Very Good

I remember your post on the manga, and it looked really interesting then. Seems like a cooler version of ghost busters.

It’s really good. He believes the spirits he sees are the feelings that the person left behind. So he doesn’t “exterminate” them, but instead helps them move on.

Good stuff. Plus it seems like there are others with the same ability, but they have an evil aura.
