The first episode of Tamayura received an early broadcast, which is disappointing in a way since I won’t be able to see the next episode for a while.
This series is directed by Satou Jun’ichi, who some of you might know from his work on Aria. There’s the same tranquil feeling present plus some light humor to spice things up.
Tamayura follows Fuu Sawatari, a somewhat clumsy high school girl, as she takes photos while exploring the town with her friends. Watching this was a nice change of pace from the typical anime I am used to.
The various expressions the characters put on also add to the fun. I expect they’ll run into Momoneko-sama again soon enough in the next few episodes.
There’s nothing like a calming series after a hard day’s work. Tamayura easily makes the list of anime I plan on following for the Fall season.
Rating: Very Good

Momoneko-sama looks so cute. Tamayura sounds like a slice of life anime, so I’m going to hold off on watching it until after reading a few more reviews. I’m not saying slice of life is bad, there’s just been an overload of that genre recently.

Tamayura is very much so a slice of life anime. I blame the overload on the 4-koma adaptation frenzy.

That girl has the best expression. What a Fuu.
