Kaichou wa Maid-sama! First Impressions
Since I already read a few chapters of this manga in the past, I had a general idea of what to expect.
This romantic comedy stars a tsundere female student council president (Ayuzawa Misaki) who gets discovered by a fellow classmate (Usui Takumi) at her part-time job working in a maid cafe. The male lead appears to have a chill personality and doesn’t really talk much. I highly prefer this to the clueless/”average” male characters that generally appear in many series.
The animation quality is decent enough, and the amusing expressions that the characters put on reminds me of Skip Beat. I recognized the main characters’ voices from somewhere and decided to look it up. The seiyuu Fujimura Ayumi and Okamoto Nobuhiko that did Misaki and Takumi in this anime also voiced Cecily and Luke from Sacred Blacksmith. Interestingly enough, the characters that they voice share many common personality traits.
I’m not at all disappointed by this anime adaptation. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is shaping up to be a solid romantic comedy without any of the stereotypical fan service.

You mean someone actually does *PANTSU* romantic comedy without *BOING BOING* random bits of *FLASHER TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE* fan service *I’M TOO MOE FOR MY BIKINI TOP* thrown in?
Neat, I should watch those more often.
