Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (Blu-ray) Deal

I was surprised to see something anime related make the front page of Slickdeals.

Amazon has Ghost in the Shell 2.0 [Blu-ray] for $10.99. I’ve seen the original movie, but not this reworked edition with some animated scenes replaced by CG.

This is your chance to own a high-def copy of a well-known science fiction classic at the price of a mere movie ticket. Actually, I guess movie tickets are a bit expensive these days…

Europe bound otaku may be interested to know the BluRay is also up rather cheap at play.com. ^^

@Kairu90: Yup, this will actually be the first Blu-ray movie I’ve gotten. I’m still waiting for Lord of the Rings to come out on Blu-ray. Epicness.

@Smithy: Thanks for the heads up. ^^

It says the release date was November 24, 2009, which is the North American release. Maybe they forgot to add the info to the site, but it should have subtitles and also an English dub (meh).

This is definitely something worth buying. Innocence was such an awesome movie in terms of animation and details, and that was before bluray.

Ah, this is the first movie, not GitS 2: Innocence. The 2.0 is just for version 2 (since they redid some of the art), but Innocence was an awesome movie. ^o^
