Ookami Kakushi First Impressions

From the creator of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni comes this anime based on a PSP visual novel of the same name.
Hiroshi is a 16 year old boy that has recently moved with his family to a town situated in the mountains. So far it has been your somewhat typical high school anime except with some wolf cult chasing down people.
The series could turn out to be very good if it develops the story in an intriguing way and throws us some mysteries to ponder about. Judging from the creator’s previous works, we have something to look forward to.
On a side note, Isuzu is such an annoying character but the first few minutes of episode 1 gives me hope.

Durarara!! First Impressions

I didn’t realize this was from the creators of Higurashi. Perhaps this will push me to watch this.

Hopefully it turns out good, still unsure at the moment though.

After watching the second episode of this it seems the story might prove interesting. They seem to like appealing to lolicons with the fan service though. Goth ones at that. Will be looking for some plot complications in the next few stories.

Not really sure what fan service you’re talking about, but I think you might be referring to Dance in the Vampire Bund instead. Either way, the second episode of both these series has improved my impressions of them.

Eep! Yeah, this was about Dance in the Vampire Bund. I must’ve clicked on the wrong post. Doh!
I agree they’re both getting more interesting with second and third episodes. I’ll leave it at that so I don’t cross topics anymore.

It’s all good.
The creators are the ones who made Higurashi and the artists are peach-pit (shugo chara, zombie loan, D-ears, rozen maiden). There are about 7 episodes out now so sorry if this is late. Isuzu does get on my nerves, the almost rape scene with Hiroshi was really awesome(fangirl sorry), and I like the fact that they gave us a little insight as to what will happen on the first episode. Hopefully the end of this anime will suprise us!

Thanks for the extra info. It’s also never too late to discuss!
I thought the almost rape scene with Hiroshi was disturbing. He should have just bailed way earlier. Hopefully they will be able to end this with just one season, otherwise we’re in for a long one.
