Final Fantasy XIII Released in Japan

Yes, it’s finally here – for those of us that can understand Japanese. Final Fantasy XIII was released in Japan on the 17th of this month.

I was debating whether or not to order a copy from Play-Asia and play through the Japanese version, but I opted not to after watching a stream of the game. I didn’t want to miss out on the dialogue and plot, but too bad the North American version won’t include the Japanese voices.

The battle system looks like fun, with a lot of customization and paradigm shifts. Anyone here already playing the game?

March 9th couldn’t come any sooner.

I actually had it ordered with the quickest shipping from PlayAsia but canceled it last minute because I know I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game while not knowing what is going on at all. I guess I will just have to wait too! 🙁

Waiting for the US version as well. It’s pointless playing a game u don’t understand because it feels like ur not playing the game at all. :S

@Brett: Saved yourself some money, good job!

@Optic: Yeah, I know what you mean. =/

  4. The soundtrack for this is going to be awesome. True facts!

OK, well, I do get into fanboy mode over the composer of the FFXIII soundtrack because he’s done a lot of good tunes in the past. The samples I’ve heard have been very promising too!

Definitely something to look forward to. I was thinking of getting the limited edition OST, but spent a bit too much lately.
