Just got back from the Sprint 2009 Open Developers Conference.
Besides viewing some interesting presentations by industry experts from Palm and HTC, I also got a free HTC Hero from the Android coding session hosted there.
Now I’ll have an actual Android capable phone to test my own applications on!

Samsung Captivate

OMG WOW!!!
Congratulations on your Hero :]
Were you the only winner?

So nice, would love to get a Hero for free like that. Too bad it’s on Sprint and can’t really get one myself.

@Nick: Thanks! They had 400 to give away for free at the coding session, and only around 300 something people showed up. So they had a stack still sitting there.
@Snark: ^^;
@Miette-chan: Yeah, I don’t think I’m signing up with Sprint – at least for now. Just using the hardware to test my code on.
@phossil: Everyone loves freebies!
@Yi: ^o^

It’s from Google, that’s probably one reason why it’s so special! =D

The quick access to the internet is what makes smartphones so appealing. Too bad you have to pay extra for the data plan every month.
Verizon’s Droid looks pretty cool as well.
