Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty

Since Blizzcon 2009 is coming up, I thought I’ll post this new video showing the Starcraft 2 Terran Campaign.

That battle cruiser is so overpowered; it annihilated that mass swarm of zerglings in mere seconds! Good thing they didn’t have any scourges there, right? I’m really looking forward to this game; Blizzard has done great work with the Starcraft universe and this will hopefully live up to its predecessor.

I was almost certain that Blizzard would release Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty this year, but it unfortunately got pushed back to next year. >_<

It’s also disappointing to have to buy 3 separate games since they are releasing the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg campaigns separately. $150? Ouch.

The other games are priced as expansions.

  2. Well, I haven’t gotten to the point at which I’ve been disappointed with any Blizzard game. Even Diablo II turned out ok in the end. Hopefully this delay will give them the time to completely polish it.

@Gustav: I think they should still bear a considerable cost considering the prices of the WoW expansions. Seems like these expansions add in lengthy campaigns and new units for multiplayer as well.

@zzeroparticle: Yeah, it’s going to be good. My only disappointments lie with WoW, but that’s another story.

Hm… Battlecruiser’s normal attack has changed, but I guess it’s more convincing as a large ship should have many lesser guns. It looks like that it’s a hero unit so it can explain why it can obilerate the zergling swarms so easily.

@Q: Makes sense if it’s a hero unit. Zeratul was overpowered as well if I recall – just like how all hero units are supposed to be. ^^
