Another anime that I’m watching this season, Bakemonogatari. I was surprised already after watching the first episode, since it was not at all what I had expected.
Here are some more screencaps below:
Overall, it’s about helping out people who have problems due to the supernatural. However, the way it is presented and the intricate wordplay between characters makes it refreshing to watch.

Their bantering/arguing is what keeps it going I guess. But still meh.

I initially didn’t think much of this, but now I think I will watch it. It seems like it’s actually pretty good.

It’s kind of unusual at first, since the way it is presented reminds me a bit of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
But I guess its “uniqueness” is what makes it refreshing with all the newer anime that seem to be following a preset format.
